I will freely confess that I had little idea about the Jonas Brothers (either collectively or individually) before our own Priyanka Chopra went and claimed one of them for herself. Since then, I decided to give the music of Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas a fair hearing. I kept an open mind and was surprised to find that some of that music is nice; a lot of it is really just fun.
The three brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick and their respective wives Danielle Jonas, Sophie Turner and Priyanka Chopra did this video. The video is silly and over the top and song is madly catchy. What really comes across is that this is a really fun family having a great time together!
Now the brothers Jonas bring us yet another song, What a Man Gotta Do. The video again features the three wives and the six of them again seem to be having a blast doing it all.
The video is a hat-tip to some of Hollywood’s beloved rom-coms. The three couples recreate the magic of Say Anything, Grease, and Risky Business.
This is a nod to the 1983 Tom Cruise movie and the iconic shirt and socks scene from it. Admit it, these two are adorable!
Fans were very impressed with the shirt and socks look; PC rocked it better than Nick, they thought.
This John Cusack starrer movie had the iconic boombox serenade scene, which the video also recreates. But its 2020 and boomboxes probably don’t work now, so Kevin Jonas and Danielle replaced that with a smartphone. Works.
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas recreate the dance sequence from Grease, featuring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
They got it right --- down to the pink shirt and the white dress.
Needless to say, fans loved What a Man Gotta Do.
