Almost all Chetan Bhagat books should come under this, but still 3 mistakes of my life is one of the worst literary works done in India by any Indian author. Although the movie came out fine and was even emotional in some parts, the book lacked in any appeal.
If the title wasn’t cringe worthy enough, the plot certainly was. The same old story of guy meeting girl, falling in love and then getting separated is all we have seen and read innumerable times...whatever!
The fascination for IITians just refuses to go away among our Indian authors. One more book that explores the love story of Tejas, an IITian is bland and boring.
The 26/11 Mumbai attack backdrop would have made this book an intriguing read but then the author’s imagination stopped midway and the story became a boring without a proper idea to back itself.
This book just reminds us, why authors need to buckle up and take literary work seriously. What could have been a good take on love based psychology turned out to be way too surreal to be true.
Thank god he didn’t is what we say! The author tried to copy Chetan Bhagat’s plotline and failed miserably.
Girl meets boy. They get engaged. Love each other. They are happy and suddenly the girl dies and everything comes apart. Been there heard that, this book has an age old story read many a times. So why, another one?
A book that reminds you of college days and friends, the innumerable pranks you did back then and everything else, but it certainly did not deserve to be a bestseller.
Love, fidelity and lust are the common themes used by Durjoy Dutta in almost all of his novels and they have just become too repetitive for the readers. The same goes for this book. It seems to be the same old dance and song.
Durjoy at it again, this talks about love and distance and the evolving parent child relationship in today’s modern world. Definitely not deserving to be a bestseller.
So next time you plan to read a book, you know what should you should skip!
