We came home from a party at 1 AM, but my girls made us sit down and buy tickets at that unearthly hour. They insisted that the morning would be too late. Turns out, they were right! It was just as well that we booked tickets when we did or we’d never have heard the end of it! As it turned out, tickets for the Avengers Endgame opening day were mostly sold out and even for the Saturday show, we didn’t have much choice! Twitter also had a lot to say about the feeding frenzy that ensued as soon as the movie tickets went on sale…

Try booking tickets for the movie now and you'll find nothing available for the first few days. If you do, they’ll be theatres miles out of your way or shows at ridiculous timings.

…Theatres, not so much. This would be the dream of any moviemaker: viewers falling over themselves to book tickets, shows running to packed houses!

But getting them is easier said than done.

They're making hay while the sun shines! Its simple demand and supply, so the audiences feel compelled to shell out astronomical sums for the movie and theatres feel justified in charging accordingly.

Thor going for Thanos is a lot like people trying to get their hands on tickets. Spidey turning to dust… much like the tickets disappearing!
