Just some time back, we shared an article, travelling is all about money. We now take the next step; how to travel often without digging a big hole in the pocket. Even though we all love vacations, we are either stuck because of lack of budgets or holidays or sometimes, we are simply unable to pull together the whole experience. But what if we tell that you can travel as often as you want and when you want. Doesn't look doable? Here’s how to start.

1. Save, save and save!

First things first, save for your travel plans. If travel is something you want to do, then make some changes in your lifestyle. Cut down your daily spends and aim to save a certain amount for a holiday. Don’t depend on those sudden bonuses promised by your company or your dream appraisal.

2. Explore the local places

Before you reach out to places far away, start by planning small trips around your city. So what if you are not travelling far, at least, you are travelling more often. That's what matters the most.

3. Stay with locals

Your journey should be an experience and an experience is not found in a five-star hotel. Plan your stay in a hostel or try couch surfing. With this, you explore more and feel more like a local.

4. Book in advance

Advance booking is much cheaper than booking last minute. Sign up on sites, which will notify you of competitive deals, from time to time.

5. Eat smart

Avoid spending money at an expensive restaurant. Binge on the local cuisine and street food. You will not only save money but also enjoy new varieties of local fare.

6. Tag a friend along

Sometimes travel packages turn out to be reasonable when booking for more people. Plus, you also split all the expenses, such as food, room tariffs and taxi fare. And apart from divide of costs, you at least have someone to have fun with on a trip.

Always remember – travel light, do your research and be flexible with your choices.
