Happy Mother’s Day! To all mommies out there, new and old, you are the reason why the world exists. Thank you for everything you have always done for us.
For giving us your own flesh and blood to grow

Your flesh and blood
Not only did you allow us to come into being, but you nurtured us with your own flesh and blood.
For loving us even before you saw us or held us

Unconditional love
The mother child bond forms very early, even before the birth itself. A baby knows she is loved.
For letting us cause you unbearable pain as we tear out of your body and still loving us

Bearing pain
It is said that there is no pain greater than that of labour pain, and yet mothers welcome this pain. At times more than once.
For always being there whenever we need you

Always there
Most of us ran to our mother’s when we needed to know that we are loved unconditionally. From when we got scrapes or cuts to when we experienced heartbreak.
For knowing exactly what we needed, when we needed it

Whatever we needed, whenever
Either it was staying up nights while we studies, or a bowl of Maggi because we needed comfort food. Sometimes when just let us sit in silence while you told us stories of everyone else in the family.
For taking our side in every argument

My mommy
At some point in all our lives we needed someone to have our back. The once person who we knew would always got to bat for us was you.
For reprimanding us when we needed it

We’re sorry we disappointed you
Somehow disappointing you hurts more than disappointing ourselves, that is why when you scolded us or punished us, we felt the worse.
For demonstrating the values you wanted us to live by

Friend, philosopher and guide
You taught us everything we know and we are who we are, because of you.
For sacrificing yours in order to give us ours

Nothing we want is too much
You must have had your dreams, your own hopes and ambitions. We know you gave them up to be our mother and we know you never held a grudge against us. For us that was a gift no one else can ever match.
For being our mother, our pillar and our home

Love you Mom
No matter where we go, or where we live, we know we will always have a home with you. This knowledge helps us slay dragons and climb mountains.
Thank you mother for everything you have done. We are so lucky to have you in our lives.
