I suppose it dates me that I can never think of the latest Spiderman – Tom Holland – as anything but a little kid. However for kids these days he – and Zendaya – are heartthrobs of sorts. So when there is even the slightest whisper of anything to do with a new Spiderman film, social media goes into a tailspin. Some new pictures of Spiderman 3 are out but there are three strange different names released – what’s going on?
From this Instagram account, he posted a picture along with this title – Spider-Man Phone Home.
So what is it going to be? Fans are really confused right now.
We know there will be a film starring the three from the previous two films, but little else.
Three new images and some unlikely names for the next Spiderman movie – that is all it took for fans to go into a delirium of excitement.
With just three stills to go on, the conjecture started.
Which one will it be?
People had a lot of questions.
Don't play with our feelings they said. But the guys at Marvel love doing this, don't they.
People had more ideas about names.
The tweeple suggested more names around the ‘home’ theme.

Some announcements were expected.
On the Jimmy Fallon show, people expected the name reveal. That didn’t happen. But a few other clarifications were issued.

Harry, Tom’s brother will be in this latest Spiderman film.
In their characteristic style, the filmmakers have left the fans hanging with very little information. Fans are confused but pathetically grateful too.
So it was win-win for the marketing team of Spiderman 3 who got the three leads to troll fans and create chaos with three different and unlikely titles. Now everyone is talking about Spiderman. Smart.
