Recently, we saw #delhirains and #mumbairains and rains and more rain. In fact, all that happened last week was rains. How did it change things for us, other than the massive traffic jams? Well, the Internet kind of disappeared or well became a on again, off again thing. So, last week we lost TV which always disappears during the rain, and we actually saw the faces of people…like in real, rather than on Facebook.

Check out what people actually did when the rains washed away the Internet with a load of other things.

1. Called up friends

They called up their old buddies and I am sure talked for hours after a long time. God bless Internet breakdown.

2.Spent some family time

See, sometimes it’s good to spend some family time with your parents. Definitely, it was a shock for them but that was all you got without the Internet.

3. Shopping

Usually, you are too busy with social media and the other things are easily sidelined. But when it’s gone, you go for your second most favourite thing – Shopping and that’s what people did.

4.Did your pending work

I know, a pile of work needed to do be done by you and now, finally you have done it. Thank God! Something got done.

5.Listened to some good music

We all appreciate good music as it makes us feel like rock stars when we lip sing a cold play song. So, people took out their phones and enjoyed some good soulful music.

6. Watched a good movie

With movies like #Dishoom, #Kabali and #Maadari running, people really enjoyed some movie time.

7. Tried a bit of cooking

A bit daring, but still people tried their hand on different things from pizza to sweets. Some even made Maggi for the first time.

8. A road trip

Yes, the roads were choked, but if you move out of the main traffic areas and headed to the highways, then wow! It was a fun road trip. Oh who are we kidding, you would have never got out of the city, but it’s a good dream.

9. Played games

Well! Well! There was a time when we didn’t have Internet at all and those days, we used to play ludo with our siblings and friends. So, those indoor games actually came handy.

10. Read a novel, till you fell asleep

The Internet was definitely not coming back so a novel became the next best companion. Yes, many actually picked up a book.

Honestly, we think there should be a no Internet day at least once a week. It’ll do us all some good.
