Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan is someone who receives some of the most mixed reactions – for his followers he is wisdom personified, a saintly soul who not only enlightens and guides but someone responsible for many positive social initiatives such as support for tribal and transgender people, blood donation drives, tree planting initiatives and cleanliness campaigns. However for others, his MSG (messenger of god) series of films and his songs (‘religious rock’ tracks such as love charger and network tere love ka) cause for hilarity and amazement. This time the guru will be seen to travel back and forth in time curing the world of its many ills. This time the sets are more fantastic, the costumes more over the top and the facial hair even more impressive than MSG 1 and 2. We can expect a film with “more non-acting per unit area ever” as one online publication put it.
Not only does the protector of the weak and poor travel back and forth in time he also battles aliens by rising straight up in the air with his mighty flaming sword as portrayed by this still from the trailer.
Some reactions were rather extreme and featured the strange superhero-gurubat-mobile-modified-scooter the ‘hero’ uses.
Whether they were sincere in their praise or being sarcastic is of course open to interpretation.
However, they tried their best to describe the strange and unusual godly visitations that are portrayed in the trailer.
He stars, writes, directs, sings, designs sets and ‘costumes’ choreographs and edits. He is of course the most versatile person in the history of world cinema in as many as 30 different filmmaking categories.
