One of the things we think is way too difficult to do is make friends. Surprisingly, we could make friends easily when we were in school, but what happened after that? Well, with #FriendshipDay this weekend, why not have some fun and make new friends? Don't know where to start? Let us help you.
1. Make new friends from a different department in your work place
It’s really hard to stay quiet and alone for 8 long hours in the office. Meeting people in your work environment is a lot of fun where you can talk to them, share your views and ideas, especially if they are from a different department. Start talking something casual instead of being professional every time.
2. Join a sports team at some club
This seems to be quite common because most of the people join sports activities because they can meet new people and make new friends. I would recommend you to find a small team, where sports are played for fun, but they surely treasure and value friends.
3. Do some volunteer work at an NGO
Getting into volunteer work is another way to meet new people and make friends. That too while doing a good deed. While you are volunteering, you need to make and meet new people, which results in making lots and lots of friends.
4. Buy tickets and attend events that hold your interest
Believe it or not attending events can help make real and fun loving friends. Most of my friends do this all the time and end up making some good friends. If you attend an event, there are high chances that you make at least 1-2 friends.
5. Throw a party and ask each of your friends to bring one of their friends you may not know.
When you have enough money, but no friends, giving a party is an ultimate idea to meet new people. You can call your friends and ask them to get some more friends and colleagues who love parties. Get adjusted and you will surely find a genuine friend there.
6. Send friend requests to friends of friends on social networking sites
This is probably one of the most used methods by people to make friends. You can get lots and lots of friends from Facebook, Twitter and other networking sites. Sometimes talking to strangers is really good.
7. Join a gym and get to know those who come at the same time as you
No matter how poor a fitness enthusiast you are, attending a gym is always good. You can talk to people around you and try to make friends with them. You don’t need to push yourself towards them, just take a step forward and relax.
8. Join community or religious groups
Going to a temple or similar religious places can help you to meet like minded folks and it is a great way to make friends as well. Because all belong to your religious belief, there are high chances that you end up making great friends.
