Keeping Up With The Kardashians Is Ending – Was It Still On?

If ever there was a family famous for being famous it would be the Kardashian-Jenner extended family; the subject of TV’s longest-running reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. When it was first launched in 2007, it was billed as a ‘new non-scripted family sitcom’, however, this is a show that still seems to elude an actual description and/or purpose. We now hear that the series will be ending – in 2021, after 20 seasons. Reactions? They were many and varied obviously.

The show says Adios, after 13 years, 20 seasons!

The show itself may be much-reviled, but there is no doubt about its cultural impact; particularly on fashion.

This is not a show known for its profundity – much the opposite.

This is the show, more or less: a bunch of people and their largely nonexistent first-world problems.

Like these

It is widely recognised that this is not the most intelligent of shows.

There are plenty of viewers who are really going to miss this show; their regular fix of ‘scripted reality’.

This is a show that many watched but would not really admit to watching – these people are secretly unhappy.

They either didn’t like the show or were resentful of the fact that the extended Kardashian-Jenner family are hugely famous and rich now… seemingly with very little reason.

Some felt that this is a big of good news in 2020 which has been pretty much crap up until now.

Then there are those who feel this is yet more bad news in a year simply full of bad news.

There are many who have no idea whether this show is good, or bad or awful because they have never seen it.

Me neither.

I'm willing to bet that there are many like me who know about the show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but erroneously thought that it had ended years ago.

What? Yet another one?

Then there are those who are telling the non-viewers not to feel superior. Keeping Up With The Kardashians has been a hugely successful show; historically long-running and with numerous spinoffs. So while some of us may feel all superior about not watching an unintelligent, superficial show, it has made the Kardashians very famous and very successful indeed. Because nothing succeeds like success – even if one is famous only for being famous.
