We have seen cricket-themed movies in the past such as Lagaan, Iqbaal, Ferrari ki Sawaari M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story and others over the years. We now have Jersey which is about the love of cricket, starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. The trailer released on 23rd November 2021. The trailer of Atrangi Re starring Dhanush, Sara Ali Khan and Aksay Kumar released on 24th. Check out the trailers and so early reactions
Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur as well as Pankaj Kapoor star in the film. The story is about a talented cricketer who is down on his luck and is struggling to buy a Rs. 500 cricket jersey for his son.
The film trailer has received good responses on the whole and is currently trending at #2 on YouTube. The film will release on 31 December 2021.
The movie is a remake of the 2019 Telugu film of the same name
People haven’t seen much of Kapoor since Kabir Singh and they recalled his role in the film.
This is an opportunity for Kapoor to demonstrate his undoubted acting talent yet again and fans are looking forward to the release of the film.
The Telugu film starring Nani and Shraddha Srinath was a big hit and fans are doubtful if the remake will match up to the original.

This one seems like a romcom and features Dhanush, Sara Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Dimple Hayathi.
It seems to be about a mistaken wedding and an unlikely love triangle. The music of A R Rahman seems promising.
It seems that Dhanush is once again playing the ‘Tamilian’ in the film. While some fans are happy to see him in a big-ticket Hindi film, some are tired of the Bollywood attitude that will cast actors from the south only as south Indians.
Just recently the teaser trailer of Prithviraj was released and people spoke out about the massive age difference between the male and female leads. Here the age difference between Sara Ali Khan (26) and Akshay Kumar (54) is as glaring and somehow even ickier (he has been working in the industry since before she was born and would have literally seen her grow up). Dhanush is also 12 years senior to Sara, however, director Aanand L Rai says there is some reason behind the unusual casting. We can only wait and watch.
Atrangi Re will release on Christmas Even 24 December 2021 on the Disney+ Hotstar streaming platform.
