Our favourite Indian Premiere League is on its way to our TVs and as usual, we are excited. We’re expecting a lot of entertainment, exceptional cricket, last ball matches and not to forget, new changes. Here’s a sneak peak into all the scoops and updates:
No more Chennai Super Kings

We will really miss the fun!
This a huge shock for all CSK fans, the team that reached the finals every season and gave us the best moments of IPL is no longer going to be a part of it anymore. Due to the match fixing accusations on the owner of CSK, N.Srinivasan, the decision was taken to suspend the team and none of us are happy about.
No Rajasthan Royals

Damn, we will miss Shilpa Shetty!
First CSK and then Rajasthan Royals, both the teams are banned from IPL till 2018.
New franchises

Welcome Freshers!
As two teams were kicked out of the IPl, two new entries were made, Pune and Rajkot. Though Pune is an old team, the franchise is new this time as Subroto Roy doesn’t hold the rights anymore since filing for bankruptcy. While Intex won the bid for Rajkot, Goenka group’s chairman Sanjeev Goenka is now the new owner of Pune.
No more Dhoni and Raina partnership

Well, this one is tough to take!
Well, it must have been heart-breaking for both them and the fans, but the truth is that Dhoni and Raina are not in the same team anymore. So, now you will have to watch them play against each other as Dhoni goes to Pune and Raina goes to Rajkot.
It’s raining money

Show me the money!
IPL didn’t lose its charm in terms of money. This time as well Shane Watson was picked up by RCB for a whopping 9.5 crores, Yuvraj Singh by Hyderabad Sunrisers for 7 crores and Ashish Nehra as well for Rs 5.50 crores.
