Gordon Ramsay Roasted – When the Roaster Was Roasted

Celebrity chef and TV personality Gordon Ramsay is known as much for his controversial comments on TV's cookery shows as for his culinary abilities. He is known for his “fiery temper, strict demeanour, and use of expletives” as Wikipedia coyly terms it. Basically he is nasty, foul mouthed and very talented at making people feel terrible about themselves. The tables were turned on him once, however, and Twitter loved it!

Pressure

Sure a small amount of pressure is healthy and could spur one on to do their best. But if Ramsay thinks that “very few can handle it” why does he dish out so much of it to cooking show contestants?

“Fighter”

So Ramsay is a fighter; good for him. Perhaps he’ll come good in a street brawl or may repel a mugger; but must he be quite so contentious in normal circumstances?

“Strong characters”

Hmmm… clearly he has taken it upon himself to singlehandedly create those hard environments where he presumably will mould those “incredibly strong characters”

Soul destroying

Ramsay is known for his take-no-prisoners, mince-no-words attitude. He can flay with nothing but words! That is apparently his style.

Maybe he didn’t say those exact words

Over time, Gordon Ramsay memes have become hugely popular. Maybe he didn’t say those exact words but that snarl speaks for itself!

The sort of thing he says

He will call the soup ‘dry’ and the meat undercooked. Maybe be didn’t say those actual words; maybe he did. Important thing is, he could well have done!

Tit for tat?

Some years back Ramsay visited a Thai temple in London and tried to make Pad Thai. The chef was less than impressed. He gave Ramsay a taste of his own medicine and told him he cannot cook.

9 year old clip went viral

This actually happened years ago, but people are so delighted that the foul mouthed chef got his just desserts in this instance, that the clip went viral recently.

“Gentrification”?

You know how the British take ethnic cuisines and water down the taste to suit their easily scared /scarred taste buds? Well that’s what went on here; the Thai chef was less than amused.

Twitter was very amused

The Thai chef’s expression of utter disdain! People were loving it!

Then there was this Malaysian woman

She told him what to do in no uncertain terms. He said – “I’m not used to being pushed around like this”.
