The American sitcom Friends is arguably one of the most popular TV shows ever made – it may not have aged too well, but it is loved by millions still. It is a show about friendship and life and love and humour and having fun and relationships --- what’s not to like! Given the extraordinary popularity of the show, any hint of a reunion has social media in a frenzy of anticipation.
This announcement was made by the blue-tick Friends handle on Twitter along with a vague 30-second video. It is carefully worded: we will ‘get to see our favourites back together again’.
No, the sitcom is not returning with new episodes. This is just is going to be the actors coming together as themselves, something of a casual interview.
Now everyone is interested! One commentator suggested that this clarification should not have been issued; when the actual reunion show aired, they could simply have said: “So no one told you life was gonna be this way.”
Ten seasons weren't enough for some. They just want more – in any form or fashion.

The Friends Reunion will air on HBO Max – not sure if and when it will air in India.

The series had many other beloved characters apart from the central six of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey. Paul Rudd’s character Mike Hannigan is definitely one.
HBO Max tweeted that they were going to need a ‘bigger couch’ along with a list of celebs who have and haven’t been part of the show.
