The kind of dance routines we see these days on TV and social media are daring and spectacular and downright dangerous. They are clever and inventive and they seem to scale new and incredible heights each day – sometimes literally. A short 41-second video of four guys dancing on a beach went viral recently. While the whole routine is really eye-catching, it is the final bit that really made everyone do a double-take and go how on earth did they do that!
It is a superbly coordinated routine; very creative and original and really fun to watch. And that bit at the end --- well that was stunning. I still cannot figure it out.
The video quickly went viral and garnered nearly four lakh views in a couple of days.
What did I just see was the tenor of many of the reactions from people who responded to the tweet.
Mostly, people were amazed at what and how those dancers did it.
People watched the video repeatedly to try and figure out how they managed to accomplish that mind-boggling ‘owl’ maneuver.
And here we thought only owls could turn their heads around 180 degrees!
Several of the tweeple expressed the view that the song that those guys danced to, was stuck inside their head. Well that is a very catchy song.
While most wanted to know how on earth those guys accomplished that last bit, many were interested to know who they are.
One of the replies posted a similar video from the dance competition Dance Plus (season 4) to shed some light on the performers.
These guys go by the rather appropriate name B Unique. It’s all very clever: the outfits, the optical illusions that they create, and that flawless, superb coordination. Audiences all over the country admire these guys and wish them luck – I do too.
