Humans love it when animals are seen playing and having fun; when they seem to be behaving in a way we think of as ‘human’, especially a creature as large as an elephant. Oregon Zoo tweeted this delightful video of an elephant frolicking in the mud, completely oblivious to who may be watching or recording. The elephant can be seen cavorting in the mud, getting blissfully dirty and muddy – rather like one of those mud treatments at a pricey spa.
In this video, an elephant can be seen shaking a tree with its trunk. Perhaps it is hoping for some mangoes? Or is it just annoyed because the banana tree doesn’t seem to have any bananas?
A baby African elephant is happily drinking milk from an enormous bottle here --- much like a human child.
This little one proves that kids don’t really need elaborate toys to play – they can have a great time with anything that comes their way. Kids are quite inventive – they will make do with a basket or onions or a plate and spoon – as this one has a great time with a bale of hay.
This is just such a joy! Water and a ball – an irresistible combination for a child of any species; whether elephant or human!
Watch as this majestic beast simply walks away with the ball some guys are playing with, in this video from Guwahati. You can hear them yelling at the elephant to give back the ball, but the fellow is quite unperturbed. Finally, he seems to get bored and nudges the ball away.
