Don’t drink and text is a valuable adage to live by. We can be overly amorous, unnecessarily courageous and stupidly brave when under the influence. It is best not to express our alcohol-emboldened thoughts in the digital space at such a time. This usually sorely regretted the next day. Twitter expressed a similar view when they asked people not to drink and tweet:
In vino veritas (in wine is truth) goes the old saying. There are some truths that are better left unsaid, however.
Twitter reminded us of this fact.
This is good advice – tweeting is best left to when one is in full control of one's faculties.
..to come home wasted, late at night (or early in the morning) and reveal thoughts and feelings that are best left buried. Buried deep.
But their actions seemed to belie their words. There is a lot of crap on twitter. At least some of it is drunk-tweeting.

Don’t tweet while under the influence of Adderall – known to make one feel euphoric and stimulated.
This guy is so drunk he mistakes this for a bottle.
Drinking water is OK, right Twitter? Hydration is imporant, as so many pointed out.
Some decided to get a drink... because any excuse is a good one for a drink.
‘You're not my dad,’ said this Twitter user.
“Not my supervisor,” so don’t tell me what to do.
Some did not take kindly to Twitter telling them what to do.
The advice came too late for them.
Compulsive tweeter and most powerful guy in the world, Donald Trump is known to tweet at all times --- including when seated on the throne it is conjectured.
