Even after Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Dhoni and other players’ tremendous performances in T20 World Cup 2016, team West Indies outplayed us. India lost the semi-final, and were knocked out of the ICC World T20, but there was no dearth of sportsmanship by both teams post the result. Even after losing the match, the Indian cricket team was able to earn respect and won many hearts by its over all journey during the world cup. All the love and respect was seen when the team was spotted at Mumbai airport, the crowd was cheering team India and appreciated all theirs efforts. 1. India’s last three balls in India vs Bangladesh

This match does not require any description, it was such an unexpected win. This match was the best match in T20 history and all credit goes to our bowlers, specially Hardik Pandeya, his last over in this match was truly an epic one.

 

2. Dhoni’s captaincy and Virat bowing to Mr. Sachin Tendulkar

Dhoni’s captaincy and fielding strategy had set an example for the rest of the world showing how good, accurate and perfect all his techniques were. Along with Dhoni, Virat and Bumrah were the main players who helped the team outplay Pakistan. Another breath taking moment was when Virat bowed down to Mr. Sachin Tendulkar after completing 50 runs, in order to pay respect and dedicated his victory to the God of cricket.

There is no doubt that this T20 season belonged to Virat Kohli. As soon as he entered the field each and every Indian was shouting his name and cheering  for him, this gave him courage and confidence to play beautifully and he proved this with his batting.

The semi-finals caused wide spread depression in the end, as the West Indies team outplayed us. Poor bowling and fielding were the two main reasons for the loss. too many no balls and catch drops by our bowlers and fielders gave the West Indies players many advantages and the confidence to win.
