You know how India has so many terrific actors who don’t seem to get their due in terms of fame and popularity and the meaty roles they ought to have to display their talent. Well some of the people in the movie Badhai Ho belong to that category. With her talent and looks Neena Gupta ought to have been a top leading actor! Gajraj Rao again is brilliant with his understated comic timing. With two other highly promising actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra also in this film, this is one that I am looking forward to. Check the Badhai Ho trailer and reactions to it:
The trailer begins with an announcement of the imminent arrival of a guest. But it isn’t the announcement that people would usually expect. Check out the trailer. It is many genuinely LOL moments.
The movie promises to be witty, not just funny and is peopled with realistic, relatable and identifiable characters. And the theme is such that it would be easy to give over to crassness. The lines written by Shanatanu Srivastava, Akshat Ghildial and Jyoti Kapoor seem to indicate that the writers maintained admirable restraint while writing.
Lead actor Ayushmann Khurrana had this question. Well the trailer is certainly promising and if his previous choices, excellent films such as Vicky Donor, Dum Laga Ke Haisha and a few others are any indication, this one should be good too!
Everyone seemed to find the trailer really funny! The clever casting, extremely competent acting and believable situations garnered hugely positive responses from everyone.
Khurrana is not just talented, he is also extremely smart in the type of films that he chooses to do. If on the one hand he has done the quirky Meri Pyari Bindu, on the other the actor has shown a wide range of talent by also choosing to do films such as Andhadhun.
We have all heard or know of incidents such as this, about an accidental late-in-life pregnancy. The movie takes a hilarious look at that and also at the quirks of various relationships.
According to news reports, the redoubtable Neena Gupta was so pleased with the concept of the film, that she agreed to do it without even reading the script.
