The golden jodi of Babban and Khalujaan is back on the floors with Ishqiya 3. Naseeruddin Shah and Ashrad Warsi have done a splendid job in the series to make their characters look equally iconic as they are! Though Dedh Isqhiya was not much adored by the mainstream audience and the production house had earlier thought of calling-it-quits, but a "terrific" script has changed their mind!
This iconic duo of Babban and Khalujaan played by Ashrad and Naseeruddin is getting back to tickle your funny bones as the third movie of Ishqiya franchise is all set to go on the floors later this year.
A source gave an insight on the film. He said, "The film will be produced by Ketan Maru. Though Abhishek Chaubey is said to be directing it, we haven't got an official confirmation from him yet. The female lead hasn't been locked either. So far, only Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi are on board and will reprise their roles of Khalujaan and Babban, respectively. Once the heroine is signed, the actors' dates will be finalised."
This is surely a surprise to us all, as Vishal Bhardwaj, who was the co-producer of the movie franchise, had earlier categorically said they don't intend to make a third movie following the lukewarm response to the movie Dedh-Ishqiya. But looks like the script is too good to be ignored by the producers as well!
However, no one commented on what the script is going to be despite repeated attempts, but let's just hope it would be really terrific, as the producers had thought!
So, let's happily hope for a good movie later this year!
