Common excuses to miss work range from a fake illness to a fictitious dead relative to a transport strike to a broken down vehicle. Someone shared just such an excuse on Twitter. However, Twitter wasn’t having it.
Apparently a nail pierced the tyre and it went flat. She even sent a picture in to her boss.
Many of the tweeple pointed out that this was terrible photoshopping.
It is fake at first glance!
Why would one use an image that is so obviously fake!
With literally thousands of images available within seconds, all they had to do was choose a believable image.
…Would have been more believable.
If you must lie, at least make it interesting and novel.
There are good bosses out there, who let employees take time off as long as they are sincere and productive the rest of the time.
Some shared pictures of other, more believable excuses for not turning up at work.
Now that is a flat tyre!
This is not a punctured tyre, this is a tyre that disappeared! Luckily the occupant lived to tell the tale.
He's standing up. But he's pretending that he is lying down.
Maybe invent a new animal such as deebra or deer-zebra while you're at it?
Now this would take a lot of explanation.
Earphones stuffed up the nose, a charging cord for an IV drip – this guy isn't even trying.
There were those who decided that the fake pic was sent for a reason – maybe she just didn’t like her job anymore.
