Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says “Oh crap! She’s up!” And so flowed the words, off the keyboard and into the world of social media, courtesy someone who had too much time to spare. Sadly, Bollywood has woken up to the concept of badass women a decade too late, but we aren’t complaining. Nevertheless, there have been certain plots, where we wondered, what if it was from the perspective of a woman, or what if the lead was a female, instead of the same old tough rookie male. Let’s take a look at some of these flicks where we wanted a chick twist.

Dabbang

Imagine a female Chulbul Pandey. Would have been quite amazing to see her kicking some serious ass, and saying; Swagat nahi karoge humara? We did get some fulfillment of this in Mardani but imagine her in the UP setting like Pandey.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 & 2

We all laughed on the antics of three poor lads who literally suffer at the hands of their selfish girlfriends. Imagine if we could be treated to one such stereotypical portrayal of a typical boyfriends and their acts of juvenile delinquency.

We have heard many people complaining about how hard it was for Krish, and how smooth the road was for Ananya. Well, let’s hear the story from her point of view then, shall we?

Jodha Akbar

But yes, not as a love story, neither as Akbar’s war saga. Instead, we would love to have a story dedicated and from the point of view of Jodha herself. A Rajput princess leading the Mughal dynasty, her story would be a treat to watch.

Mahabharata, Ramayana

We’re sure that apart from TV series, the epic has been referred to or adapted into movies too, so we are being generic in subject but specific in character here. We want Draupadi’s version, for she is the daughter of fire, we would love to watch this on screen. Same applies to Ramayana, which would be a lot more interesting, if portrayed and shown from Sita’s point of view.

Don 2 – The Chase Continues

Frankly, we feel that the change that Farhan Akhtar wanted to bring about with the twist in the previous part, would have been lot more exciting, had this chase filmed and made from Roma’s perspective, who was an Interpol officer in the movie.

Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara, Dil Chahta Hai

Enough of bromance, now we want some sisterhood here. We would love to watch the similar dilemmas arising in the lives of three successful females, who bond irrespective of the differences in attitudes.

Which are the ones that you want to see being made from a woman’s perspective? Do let us know in the comments below.
