We love posting on Facebook, right from the new outfit we just bought to what we had for dinner. Why do we do it? What we say to ourselves is, “we want our friends to share our excitement”. That’s totally cool, after all we like and share such images and posts, right? But beware some of your actions actually make you seem insecure. Pay attention to these.

1.    People with romantic posts.

Yeah and a bit insecure too.

Stop the PDA!!!

According to a new research, people who post more about their boyfriends/girlfriends are more likely to have low self-esteem. Actually, people who tend to feel insecure in their relationships are more active on social networking sites, posting status updates, writing on their walls, and commenting and liking on their posts to get attention.

2.      People who show off their possessions (laptop, phones, etc).

Please STOP!

Some people just like to show off their things. They only post so that others would know about their new purchases because they feel a little insecure about other’s possessions.

3.      People who post every little achievement in their life.

I wont judge you if you shut up.

I won’t judge you if you shut up.

Facebook status updates regarding personal and professional achievements most likely indicate that the person is a narcissist and he or she is seeking “attention”.

4.      People who write more about other people.

Not cool bro

Not cool bro!

People who talk more about people on social networking sites clearly show that they’re insecure. It states that they are jealous of those people and by gossiping about them on social media, they try to bring them down. Well, how would their life be without gossip and verbal defamation?

5. People who share EVERYTHING.

Im sharing this

“I’m sharing this”

These people are those who share anything and everything on Facebook. These people tend to be more carefree and spontaneous than others, but they tend to be a little insecure as well, which explains why they overcompensate by sharing EVERYTHING.

6. The Grammar Nazis.

Its there NOT their

“It’s ‘there’ NOT ‘their'”

This is someone whose made it their life’s goal to correct/fix every single grammar problem they see in anyone else’s posts. These people tend to be control freaks in life and may even have a dash of OCD, but are generally insecure about their own status.

7. People who constantly check-in.

Let me just tell everyone about this sandwich

“Let me just tell everyone about this sandwich”

These people tend to check-in everywhere they go, be it a market, a restaurant or even a temple. Their primary motive for doing so are said to be their insecurities that make them want to show everyone that they’re living the good life.
