It Was SRH Vs DD on Day 15 at IPL2017

Day 15 of the Indian Premier League's tenth edition saw a keenly contested match between the current champions Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils. The two teams faced off at the Rajiv Gandhi International cricket stadium in Hyderabad, which is the home ground for SRH. Here are the match highlights and a few funnies for the IPL fanatics out there.

SRH took on DD

The toss was won by hosts Hyderabad who chose to bat first. For once, skipper David Warner failed to contribute much with the bat and he was out having scored just 4 off 7 balls. Shikhar Dhawan was one of the main contributors for his team with 70 runs off 50 balls and the highest scorer for SRH was Kane Williamson with his superb knock of 89 off 51 balls. The hosts managed 191 for 4 in their 20 overs. Chris Morris claimed all the four wickets for his team.

DD could not manage to achieve the target set

Sanju Samson started well and made 42 off 33 before he was out to Mohammed Siraj. Other significant contributors inludded Karun Nair (33 off 23), Shreyas Iyer (50 off 31) and Angelo Mathews (31 off 23). The Delhi team fell short in the end and the hosts won the game by 15 runs. Hyderabad kept intact their record of remaining unbeaten at home.

Williamson was man of the match

Catch of the Match award went to Shreyas Iyer for his catch of Kane Williamson. Williamson got the Maximum Sixes award for his 5 sixes as well as Man of the Match for his match winning performance (his first appearance in IPL2017). The Stylish Player award went to Siddharth Kaul.
