Check Out Trailers of Netflix Series Bombay Begums, Horror Comedy Roohi

Trailer for the upcoming Netflix series Bombay Begums released recently. So did the trailer of the comedy horror film Roohi. Check out the trailers, details and release dates of the upcoming series /movie and some of the trailer reactions.

Roohi

Remember Stree? It was a horror-comedy starring Rajkumar Rao. So is Roohi, brought to us by the same filmmakers. As the trailer tells us iss baar mard ko jyada dard hoga (this time the man is going to experience more pain). the movie starring Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma was to release in June last year but will now release on 11 March 2021.

The ‘chudail’

The story of the film appears to be that of the ‘chudail’ yet again –  this time it is a ghost who kidnaps brides on their honeymoons according to reports.

Looking forward to a theatrical release

This is the sort of movie that has its full impact only on the big screen in a theatre, said many. Now that theatres are allowed to function to capacity, many are looking forward to watching the movie.

Name change

The movie was earlier titled Roohi Afzana but on 15th February it was renamed to Roohi.

This scene caught the eye

Because DDLJ!

This line

This line is definitely meme-worthy.

Bombay Begums

This series claims to be ‘stories of women, by women, for women.’ The series is written and directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, (of Lipstick Under My Burkha and Dolly, Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitaare fame).

The women

The series stars Pooja Bhatt, Shahana Goswami, Amruta Subhash, Plabita Borthakur and Aadhya Anand all playing very different female characters from very different backgrounds.

Pooja Bhatt

The series marks the return of Pooja Bhatt to the screen after a long time. Bhatt has reportedly struggled with alcoholism and has been sober for four years now.

Sisterhood

The series features women from very disparate backgrounds but promises to be all about women in solidarity; about their banding together to overcome their odds.

Women’s Day release

Bombay Begums is set for a Women’s Day release on Netflix – seems to be one to watch out for.
