Words You Need To Know Before You Go To Disneyland

What do you call someone who is working for an association or company? He is called as Employee and the people they are serving is known as the customer. From a low-grade company to big giants, this is how we define the relationship in the business world. But the case is totally different when you go to Disneyland.

With different Disneylands from US to Hong Kong, understanding the lingo before you step into this magical place is a must. Here's the ready guide you'll require before you pack your bags.

1. Cast Members

The members who are responsible for keeping the place running and make it more enjoyable are known as cast members. The people who work behind the scenes are called Backstage, while others are called on stage.

2. Guest

Generally, people who come to take advantage of a service are known as customers, but when it is concerned with Disneyland, you are a guest for them. Hey, they have used that word since the park first opened in 1955.

3. Character Host

He is the person who is responsible for all the characters in the park. He makes the process go smoothly and also follows a strict rule about how long a character goes out in the park.

4. Park Hopper Ticket

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure require two separate tickets to enter in but if you want to visit both on the same day, here is an option available. You can buy the hopper ticket, which will allow you to visit both of them on the same day. You end up spending up more with the hopper ticket.

5. Rope Drop

Rope Drop is one of the fun things in Disney, which only a few have experienced.  On a random day,  Disneyland opens its gates about 30 minutes before the official opening time. You can see the cast members holding the rope in from of the Walt Disney and soon after you hear the announcement, they will drop the rope and you can enter inside the Disney Magic.

6. Single Rider Line

If you love fast rides, this is one of the best options in Disneyland that allows you to go through the line for some time. This is best for people who are alone but also a good idea to enjoy the ride together, but separately.

7. Child Swap or Baby Switch

If you are a parent, then this is just for you! Child swap is all time save for parents who are with their parents and want to explore the Disneyland to the fullest. You need to tell the Cast that you want to "swap off." The first adult can take his chance of riding while the other one waits with the non-riders.

8. Extra Magic Hours, Magic Morning

Magic morning actually translates to an earlier entry where the neighbors can be benefited with multi-day tickets. You can get inside the park early along with the general public and get some photos clicked.

9. Face Characters

Face Characters stay out longer per sessions and are generally people who wear faces of  Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Ariel or Aladdin. Small children can get easily attracted to the face characters.

10. Character Meal

No don’t get me wrong, you are not eating either of the characters in your meal.  The term simply means you’ll get to meet and greet a lot of characters while you dine. It is super fun watching them around you!
