It is always a labour of love… that first book that emerges from the heart and the mind of a person who, by training and profession started a journey very different from the path he later felt compelled to tread upon. Satish’s first book Together Forever To Never is probably one such: the book that this finance professional perhaps always had inside of him; the story he felt compelled to tell?
A head for numbers… and words
Satish's short bio on The Bookoholics Instagram page tells us that he is a CA and an alumnus of the elite commerce college SRCC. He interned with Ernst and Young and has worked with the MNC Genpact in various capacities; now being the company’s Operations Vice President. A dedicated single father to 16 year old Hemang, Satish is also a tennis enthusiast and predictably, loves to read!
Satish had always dreamed of writing, but for years was caught up in the business of earning his daily bread. He was inspired to write his first book based on what he witnessed of the painful end to relationships among his own friends; when he saw couples who had vowed to remain true to each other end up in acrimonious separations.
Together Forever To Never
In Greek mythology, there exists the belief that humans originally had four arms, four legs and two faces. The Greek God Zeus however, fearing the power of such a creature, split in in half; cleaving it into two separate beings. These two people were then rent asunder and condemned to a life seeking and searching for their ‘other half’. This in essence is the story behind the concept of soul mates presented by Plato. It is an intriguing idea that the other half of each of us exists out there somewhere and is a trope that has inspired many including Samar, the protagonist of Satish’s book.
No one can love like you… if I lose you, I will be left with nothing are ardent words of Sariyanka who passionately loves Samar. Samar believes Sariyanka is his other half, so what could go wrong? Plenty, we discover as the story unfolds. Shocking truths emerge in a story of lies and deceit; an emotional roller coaster where the reader is left wondering what the end will bring for the two lovers.
