The Tug Of War Between iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7: Who Will The User Warm Up To?

We increasingly find our worlds frequently colliding with smartphones, a one of a kind high-tech gadget. In a world marked by incessant instant gratification, high consumption of knowledge and our lives being routinely squared by technology, it helps to have a smart gadget in hand. Doesn’t it.

So, we bring you two mighty products in whose ebb lies the stronghold to the current market competition in the world of smartphones. Here’s analyzing the iPhone 7 vs Samsung Galaxy S7.

1. Up first, the basics

While it is no surprise that smartphones have literally emerged as a day saver for us in an age where we are constantly hurled by timelines and deadlines, much of the work depending on them, it pays royally to have a phone that has a great battery life. While the relatively new entrant iPhone 7 still has a call to be made on its battery life, the Samsung Galaxy S7 has a far better shelf life through the day as compared to the S6, with a 3000mAh power backup.

2. The ‘weight’ of the matter

At 152 grams as compared to 138g of Apple iPhone 7, the S7 is slightly heavier of the two gadgets. But while smartphone users absolutely love a light gadget, it also pays to have a phone loaded with significant number of features, despite feeling a tad bit heavier on the pocket (no pun intended).

3. Build- building a great gadget

While it is no surprise that both the gadgets look exceedingly suave and subtly trendy to carry, one would say the Samsung Galaxy S7 slightly edges out its closest competitor Apple iPhone 7 in pure build, considering it’s of a glass aluminum unibody build while the iPhone 7 is simply an aluminum build.

4. A close tug of war at being water resistant

Running late for an important day, or hurrying up tidily to meet a skimpy looking timeline, there are always chances of accidently spilling your choicest gadget into the sink or pool or something. But in being water-resistant, iPhone 7 is the first Apple product that can officially survive an unfortunate slip. While it is almost perfect in offering this solid safety feature, the tech-savvy in the market say it is still to catch up with the S7’s stronger liquid protection feature.

5. Size counts

Apple usually never plays around much over its phone’s sizes. There’s never any peculiar growth or shrinking and at 138mm the iPhone 7 stays a solid build with a normal look and feel about it. While the S7 from Samsung’s stable still measures a good 3 percent longer and 4 percent wider than the iPhone 7.

6. Matters of coloured judgement!

Apple takes away the cake in this one fair and square. Offering its lovely consumers a wide array of iPhone 7 colours- 5, to be specific, there’s a lot of choice up for grabs with the new entrant with Black, Jet Black, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold on offer. The S7 from Samsung however, offers a range of Black, Silver and Gold at the moment.

7. Can you see the picture clearly?

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 edges out its nearest rival in matters of resolution, clarity with a resolution of 2560*1440, i.e. 577 ppi as opposed to Apple’s 1334* 750 offering which is about 326 ppi.

8. Finger-print sensors

Both are at par with this one and it has to be said, sans any harsh vein of judgment that fingerprint sensors are the need of the hour nowadays and both the iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 have finger print sensors that are equally at par with one another, adding to the ease and convenience giving a better user experience of the gadget.

9. A home run

The iPhone 7 has it in this case, while Samsung’s mercurial Galaxy S7 is yet to have it. The home button, which is there in Apple feels at the outset that it isn’t moving, but well it does! Although it’s a neat feature, it remains to be seen what real value it adds to the ultimate user experience.

10. Which one gives a better selfie experience?

The rivalry between these two iconic gadgets hangs on a literal knife’s edge in this feature. Both iPhone 7 and Galaxy S7 offer a unique 12 mega-pixel picture clarity so that’s exactly identical, but with a 7MP front  of the iPhone 7s as opposed to Samsung S7’s 5 MP front, the Seattle based scorcher wins this one. Well, it’s all about the perfect ‘selfie experience’, isn’t it?

11. Which of the two charges faster?

If there’s one particular feature that Apple will feel it lost out on considerably to Samsung then it’s the aspect of charging of the phone in a helter skelter swift speed. The S7 edges out iPhone 7 when it comes to fast charging speed and it’s all kudos to android!

12. Storage speed

Dear Apple fans, the brand really wanted you to party and celebrate with glee for in your possession there is a phone that significantly outshines the Galaxy S7 courtesy an enormous storage space of 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB options as opposed to Samsung’s 32 and 64 GB storage space offering. What else can you want from a literal warehouse of a phone folks?

The competition between Apple and Samsung is the stuff of legends and with great advantages and some tiny pitfalls in both the iPhone 7 and S7, it remains to be seen who the consumers will warm up to!
