The greatest gift you have ever got in your life is your ‘Papa’. Fathers are the founders of our life and they are the ocean in which we can swim when we are not up to things. He is the king for every daughter and first hero for every son. In honour of all the forbidding , gentle, kind, easy going, straight-laced and mild fathers around, we have brought this special post on Father’s Day reminding about the favourite onscreen enduring Papa’s from Bollywood whom we absolutely love and adore.
1. Amitabh Bachchan as Yashvardhan Raichand
We remember Raichandji in his mega earned movie, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’. Amitabh ji depicts a role of an egoistic father who doesn’t think before kicking his son out of his home for love. He is the only decision maker in the Raichand’s family and in deep love with his wife. He is a nice dad but never expresses his love to the kids.
2. AnupamKher in Dilwaane Dulhaniya Le Jayenge
He is a person who needs no introduction at all. Anupam Kher is a great dad and we absolutely love him in this role. He portrays a personality of a cool lenient dad in DDLJ where he supports his son to fight for his love, gifts him a car, and also sends him to Europe trips because he fails in his exam. His attitude of parenting is loved by all.
3. Aloknath in Vivah
Aloknath, popularly known as Babuji has given us a classic example of a responsible dad from his movie ‘Vivah’ who never discriminates between her daughter and niece. In spite of coming from the humble background, he does not step back in spending money on Guddo’s wedding and finding an idol life partner for her. They both share a special father-daughter relationship and we love him in his this ‘Papa’ character.
4. Shah Rukh Khan in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
The world loved King Khan in his gentle, nice and fun loving character of being a father of a sweet little girl Anjali in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Anjali remains quite lucky to have a parent like him. After losing his wife, Rahul agrees to mother Anjali.
5. Kamal Hassan in Chachi 420
.
Chachi 420 is a beautiful story where Kamal Hassan plays a role of a responsible father and he succeeded in giving a message to the viewers that a responsible and lovable father can go to any extent to love his daughter back. They both share a sweet relation with each other.
6. Aamir Khan in Akele Hum Akele Tum
Aamir khan kick starts his life as a busy father and neglects his school going son. After his wife leaves both of them alone, they share a special bond and feelings for each other. He agrees parenting his school going son.
7. Rishi Kapoor in Do Dooni Char
Do Dooni Char was a breakthrough for Rishi Kapoor who stepped out of a chocolate boy personality to act as a Struggling Papa. He belongs to a medium class family juggling between his school, coaching class and home. He tries to fulfil the family needs with his tight finance and we loved this screen easy going dad in this comedy – emotional hit.
8. Naseeruddin Shah in Masoom
The story revolves around the Masoom boy – Rahul and his execution towards life and career. Not to forget his distressed and willing father, playing a major role here. You will be amazed to know how father’s conviction helps to change the mind of Rahul.
9. Amrish Puri in Dilwaale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge
Still DDLJ holds a special corner in every Indian heart because of the cute love story between Simran-Raj and kudos for Baldev Singhji. He is shown as an iron-fisted dad who is nurturing two young daughters in London and want to behave them like the Gaav Ki Gori. He somehow manages to portray a strict dad character till the climax arrives where he allows his daughter to live her life and says, ‘Ja Simran Ja Apni Zindagi Jee le’.
So, whom do you like the most?
