Open the paper in the morning and all you hear about is personal fights, affairs of celebrities and politicians heated arguments. Is there anything worth reading? Indian media is more an entertainment channel than anything else. But do they realize that people just don’t care anymore. Perhaps not. Here’re some things that media should seriously stop doing.
1. Television actors/actresses getting married
Seriously guys, nobody cares about any of this stuff. We can’t handle our own love lives.
2. Body Shaming celebrities
Get a life, get a mirror, get some shame and get some perspective.
3. Bollywood Breakups
It’s human to fall in love, and even more human to fall out of it. Why do you have to create a tamasha out of who broke up with whom and is now seeing whom? Who cares?
4. Politicians on Social Media
So what? Can’t politicians be Government servants as well as tech savy individuals? Why do their tweets make headlines?
5. Talking all the time about Fashion Faux Pas
It’s impossible to look picture perfect all the time, and it’s unbelievable how much time journalists spend on looking at celebrities and scrutinizing their clothes instead of focusing on some real news.
6. Bollywood Tantrums
Why should we care if a major league Bollywood actor threw a tantrum because his tea was really cold? WHY?
7. Cricketers off the field
Their personal lives should not be up for discussion like a cricket match.
8. Celebrity children and their first words
You should focus on your own kids and think about what you are teaching them.
9. Stories about mythological characters
Until and unless you have real proof that Sita was Ravan’s daughter, don’t make it 6:00 PM news. Please.
10. Personal fights between politicians
It doesn’t matter who took a dig at whom, it’s a part of their job.
