Highest Advance Tax Payers Of 2016-2017 in Bollywood

Salman Khan

He has again proved that he is the Sultan of Bollywood, by paying the highest advance tax for the financial year 2016-17. This year he has paid an advance tax of Rs 44.5 crore, which is much higher than his previous year's advance tax. It means that his annual income saw a growth of 39 percent this year.

Akshay Kumar

This entire list was published by Indiatimes, and according to them, Akshay is the second highest advance tax payer this year. He paid Rs 29.5 crore this year, while last year he paid Rs 30 crore. 

Hrithik Roshan

He is at No. 3 position with an advance tax of Rs 25.5 crore. While last year he paid Rs 14 crore, which means there is a 74 percent income growth for him.

Kapil Sharma

He is the one who surprised the Income Tax (IT) department this year. Last year he paid Rs 7 crore advance tax, but this year he paid a whopping Rs 23.9 crore. 

Ranbir Kapoor

Despite his hit movie 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', there is a dip in his personal income this year. He paid a total advance tax of Rs 16.5 crore this financial year, while last year he paid Rs 22.3 crore.

Aamir Khan

There is a 54 percent growth in his income this year. This year he paid Rs 14.8 crore while last year his advance tax was Rs 9.6 crore.

Karan Johar

According to the list, there’s a 473 percent growth in his income this year. He paid Rs 11.7 crore this financial year, while last year he paid only Rs 2 crore.

Deepika Padukone

Recently, she made her Hollywood debut with the movie "XXX: Return of Xander Cage". There is a 13 percent hike in her income this year. In 2015-2016, she paid Rs 9 crore, while this year she paid Rs 10.25 crore.

Alia Bhatt

There is an income growth for her too this year, as she paid Rs 2.9 crore last year, while this year she paid Rs 4.33 crore. 

Kareena Kapoor

She recently became a mother which led to a dip in her income growth. Last year she paid Rs 7 crore, while this year she paid just Rs 3.9 crore.
