Dhoni Didn't Quit From Captaincy, But Was Asked To Vacate The Post?

Last week, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Dhoni has decided to step down from the captaincy of India’s limited over side. This was really a heartbreaking moment for all his fans.

But, now there are rumors doing the rounds that he was reportedly asked to quit the captaincy of Team India’s limited over side.

Yes, you heard it right. According to a report in Daily Bhaskar, it was not entirely Dhoni’s decision to step down. He was made to realise that in 2019 when the 50-over World Cup is held, he would be 39 years old and so now was the right time for Dhoni to step down and make way for Virat Kohli to lead the team in 2019 World Cup.
