Jacqueline Fernandez was raised in a multi-ethnic family, she is the youngest of four children, she has one elder sister & two elder brothers.

Her father Elroy is from Sri Lanka, while her mother, Kim is of Malaysian descent.

She hosted television shows in Bahrain at the age of fourteen.

Her grandparents were from Goa, India. She was brought up in Bahrain and attended University of Sydney.

After graduation, she worked as a television reporter in Sri Lanka.
