For instance Sheikha Latifa is known to be a keen rider and has also represented the nation in the Asian Games. Now a commercial pilot

Sheikha Mozah Al Maktoum has become the first woman of the royal family to become a commercial pilot.

The video that went viral

This video clip of Sheikha Mozah Al Maktoum making an announcement over the plane's PA system in English and Arabic has gone viral on Instagram. She first flew a helicopter when she was 12 and then started to take lessons in the UK. She progressed to aerobatics in small planes. Flying gives her a rush she says and she was always certain about wanting to become a pilot.

She is the niece of Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid; however her royal lineage has not stopped her from having her own dreams. “I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly ... I'll do what it takes till I touch the Sky ...” says the young woman's Instagram page.

Earlier she had also shared this picture of herself in the plane's cockpit. The comments below seem to indicate that this young woman is an inspiration to many.

She is not the only one

Shaikha Latifa Al Maktoum is an aviation enthusiast and also enjoys adventure sport such as skydiving. She is often seen to be jumping off an airplane and has even performed other daring stunts atop airplanes. Here she is seen wing-walking.

Unique UAE day celebration

This UAE royal decided to celebrate the nation's day in her own unique style. Seen here in the national colours, she jumped off the airplane along with others. She often collaborates with photographer Juan Mayer to create these amazing, breathtaking images.
