Man has reached the moon, and we believe aliens exit. But planes still avoid the Bermuda Triangle. Science has found out many things and yet there are many mysteries that we don’t yet understand. In fact there are many inventions and discoveries from the ancient world that we can’t figure out and remain a mystery in the modern world.
Greek Fire
According to history, Greek fire was used by the Byzantine (Eastern Roman Empire). It was in the form of a liquid chemical and would float on water. It was used in naval wars and could only be extinguished by sand, urine or strong vinegar. Could this have been the inspiration for George R R Martin’s wildfire in GOT?
