Zero Trailer Release on SRK’s Birthday Is Wowing (Some) Fans

The trailer of one of this year’s most anticipated films, Zero released on 2 November 2018 to coincide with another significant date. For Shah Rukh Khan fans, 2nd November is significant not only because the big trailer dropped on the day, but also because this was SRK’s birthday.  Here is the Zero trailer, and some of the reactions to it.

Zero trailer

The trailer is obviously trending at #1 on YouTube and has garnered over 25 million views in less than 24 hours of being launched. The trailer features SRK playing the role of the vertically challenged Bauua Singh, Anushka Sharma as Aafia, a scientist with cerebral palsy and Katrina Kaif who plays a leading film actor.

#PictureNahiFeelingHai

SRK tweeted the trailer telling everyone a little about his character Bauua; who is from Meerut, an irrepressible, crazy character.

Among other things

There appears to be a volatile relationship between Bauua and someone who may be (but appears way too young to be) his dad.

Fans are loving it!

SRK fans are floored by the special effects that have rendered the full sized SRK as a little person and feel that no one except the object of their affection could have pulled this off.

Praises pour in

Stars such as Aamir Khan have lavished praise on the trailer, calling it outstanding and remarking that SRK has outdone himself.

King is back

SRK's last outing, Jab Harry Met Sejal was something of a damp squib at the box office, but fans are convinced that Zero will help everyone forget the flops of previous years.

Believable

SRK fans feel that he is very convincing as a little person and that the whole thing is seamlessly done. They feel that the movie and SRK's character will be inspiring for other little people.

Props to Anushka

People think Anushka Sharma has done a great job playing someone with cerebral palsy; that she has the manner of talking and the mannerisms down pat.

Not everyone though

Many felt disappointed with the trailer, thought that trailer isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and that Anushka is rather implausible as someone with Cerebral Palsy.

Poster copy

As this tweet points out, the poster of Zero bears a startling resemblance to the poster of this other film. Coincidence? Unlikely, think the tweeple.
