Sonakshi Sinha Got Iron Piece Instead of Headphones, People Had Helpful Suggestions

You know how when you shop online, sometimes the wrong things get delivered. For instance a Meerut customer ordered an iPhone and got a large rock instead. Others have been known to get precisely nothing in the package when they clearly ordered something. Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha had a similar experience.

She ordered Bose headphones

When the package arrived, it revealed a Bose box. Opening it revealed a rusty metal piece that appeared to have been part of some plumbing system in its previous life, instead of headphones. The fact that customer service was as hopeless as one would expect did not seem to help.

Amazon damage control

Well this is an influential, high profile celebrity with a huge social media following. Of course Amazon would reply promptly and offer to sort this out for her. I would like to see them being this helpful and obsequious if a rusty pipe had been delivered to one of us lesser mortals.

No partiality from Amazon!

This twitter user felt that Amazon was amazingly impartial… a celebrity got the same shitty treatment that other lesser mortals did!

Some offered to help

At least one person offered to help by tweeting a reply; saying that she had “experience” getting such things sorted out.

This helpful suggestion

One tweet helpfully suggested that the rusty metal bit may have some use at least… as a sort of noise cancellation device.

Promise something, deliver something quite different

It’s like Thugs of Hindostan felt one Twitter user: the packaging is great but the product was nothing like what was promised.

Some were facetious

Funny guy José Covaco thought that the ‘headphones’ looked very uncomfortable and asked what the battery life was.

“Mini shotgun”

People tried interpreting why something like this had been delivered. While one person thought that it looked like a mini shotgun, another thought that it looked like the delivery had reached Sonakshi in error instead of Samajwadi Party leader and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav.

Those nails!

One tweet observed the length of those fingernails (I marveled at those too, truth be told) and suggested this rather innovative solution.

This observation

It seems people on social media have incredible powers of observation.

And this

Some people thought that this was a result of trying to look for good bargains and discounts. Well, isn’t that the point of online shopping? Great deals and being able to shop while sitting around in your PJs at any time – day or night?
