Golf, Beach and After Dark Parties – Upcoming Events in Dubai

If you live in Dubai or are planning to visit over the next few weeks, you may be interested in knowing about some exciting events lined up. There are sporting events, some amazing party events and more in the offing. Check out these options and decide whether an after dark party, the burning beach festival or the DP World Tour Golf Championships are more your speed.

DP World Tour Championship 2018

This Dubai Golf Tournament takes place from 15th to 18th November and carries a prize fund of $ 8 million. The event will take place at the Jumeirah Golf Estate. Past editions of this event have featured Jon Rahm, Robert Karlsson, Henrik Stenson, Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Sergio Garcia.

It’s not just golf

Apart from the golfing action, visitors can enjoy live music acts such as Maplejacks and Carmen and the Black Ts. The championship village will feature free golf lessons and craft beer among other things. There will also be trickshot artist shows put up each day.

“Adventure after dark”

The Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark, The Palm in Dubai will be hosting a what is being billed as the Middle East’s biggest slide and dance party. This will be the Haunted Edition ‘spook’tacular that takes place on 26th October 2018 from 8 PM till midnight.

Chills, spills and thrills

20 crazy water slides, inflatables, haunted towers, laser and fire shows… its all going to be on offer at the Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark after dark party. Not only is there a wide variety of culinary options, there are music zones and a special girls-only Havainas Chillax Zone. If you're interested, you will have to book online in advance. No tickets are available on the day at the gate.

Burning Beach festival

This high octane party event will be at the Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE, a massive beach party and music festival. This is the latest edition of the event and will take place all day on 26 October 2018. It is known for the crazy and spooky outfits, the body paint, feathers  and fancy hats.

Highlights of the beach festival

Two pools, live installations and live acts such as DJ Tennis, Portuguese electronic musician Trikk, deep-house vibes from Hyenah, Henry Saiz & Band along with local acts such as Frederick Stone, Michka, Aidin Karami, Mario Bazouri, Maks, Bachir Salloum and Sam Farsio. Entry is free though booking a table or a beach bed will set you back. There is also a Saturday brunch on offer the next day; from 1 to 4 PM.
