I like watching animated films; in spite of the many questions they leave unanswered. Disney is arguably responsible for creating some of the most memorable animated movie characters of cinematic history. In recent times, Disney has created progressive stories and characters; films like Frozen. Princess and the Frog and Brave being cases in point. So naturally I was delighted when the trailer of Frozen 2 dropped:
A determined Elsa appears to be trying to control and master her own powers. The film will, of course, see a return of the two feisty sisters Elsa and Anna, Kristoff is also back, as is the reindeer and the engaging little snowman Olof. Watch the trailer till the end for a really startling little maneuver.
Those who love animation films are really happy! There are lots of goodies in store! My demographic isn’t exactly the target audience but we’re intrigued nevertheless.
We were just finished being excited about Aladdin and now we have Frozen 2.
As a rule, I am suspicious of sequels; they are rarely as good as the first movie and many share my views. This commentator quickly changed their mind, however.
The trailer immediately caught everyone's attention on social media and in just 24 hours the trailer has had over 10 million views.
Elsa and Anna aren’t Disney princesses in the sense that the princesses of yore were damsels languishing in distress; waiting for the strong hero to come rescue them. These women are well able to rescue themselves and anyone else that needs rescuing, thank you very much.

This movie is far from the hearts and flowers type of fairy tale that we grew up listening to. The trailer promises to be a movie that is darker and far more intriguing than your common or garden Disney film.
Fans dissected each scene of the trailer to try and figure out what the movie has in store. They figured that the hitherto unknown characters could be a back story featuring the parents of the girls as kids.
If you recall, Elsa had no romantic interest in the first part of the film. Perhaps she will in this one… speculation about who that could be is rife.
Some of the tweeple made tongue in cheek remarks about the movie being about climate change. Another tweet expressed the unlikely hope that this would be “the climate change thriller that wakes up America”.
The Frozen 2 trailer may be out but the film will only release in November 2019. For fans, it will be a long wait.
